Newport Harbor Scarf
This scarf is made from a woven polyester material that looks and feels just like silk and measures 80” x 24”. Deep blues and greens really pop on James Nicholson’s painting of Newport Harbor which covers the scarf.
Nicholson immigrated to Newport from Scotland and worked as a master joiner on several summer cottages. As a self-taught painter, this image of Newport Harbor beautifully captures a typical day along Newport's working waterfront of the late 1800's, including the Eolus, a steamship which brought thousands of visitors to this city on the sea.
